HiDocument is an AI-powered document intelligence platform that uses Claude AI to analyze, summarize, and extract insights from PDFs, Word documents, plain text, and images. It provides 10 types of analysis in a single workflow: summarization, key points, sentiment, entities, risks, clauses, PII scanning, timelines, document chat, and comparison.

HiDocument supports six common file formats: PDF, DOCX (Microsoft Word), TXT, PNG, JPG, and JPEG. Image files are processed using Claude Vision OCR to extract readable text before analysis. Free accounts can upload files up to 5MB; Pro accounts can upload up to 10MB and process up to 10 files in bulk.

After upload, HiDocument extracts the document text and sends it to Anthropic's Claude AI model. Claude generates a structured JSON analysis including a narrative summary, extracted entities, risk flags with severity levels, clause identification, sentiment scoring, and detected dates for timeline construction. Results are typically ready in under 30 seconds.

Yes. Your documents are stored privately under your account, are never shared with third parties, and are accessible only to you. We use bcrypt password hashing, CSRF protection on every form, and HTTPS encryption. Documents are automatically deleted 30 days after upload unless you archive them.

PII scanning detects personally identifiable information — emails, phone numbers, social security numbers, addresses, financial data, and medical records — inside your documents. HiDocument generates a compliance score against GDPR, HIPAA, and CCPA frameworks, and produces a redacted version you can download in one click. It is essential for any team that handles customer data.

The timeline builder uses Claude AI to find every date, deadline, milestone, and renewal clause in your document, then organizes them on a color-coded vertical timeline. Past events are gray, urgent items (within 30 days) are red, upcoming items (within 90 days) are blue, and future items are green. You can export the timeline as an .ics file to import directly into Google Calendar, Outlook, or Apple Calendar.

Yes. The Chat tab opens a conversation with Claude grounded in the document you uploaded. Ask any question — "what is the termination clause?", "who are the parties?", "what is the total contract value?" — and Claude will answer with a verbatim source quote so you can verify every response. Chat history is preserved per document.

The Free plan includes 10 analyses per month, files up to 5MB, and access to all 10 analysis types. The Pro plan ($12/month) adds unlimited analyses, files up to 10MB, bulk uploads of up to 10 documents, document comparison, PDF and DOCX export, .ics calendar export, PII redaction download, and priority processing.

You can cancel anytime from your billing dashboard. We use Stripe for billing, and cancellation is one click in the Stripe customer portal. Your Pro features remain active until the end of the current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Free plan. There are no cancellation fees and no questions asked.

HiDocument provides GDPR-aware and HIPAA-aware infrastructure: encrypted transit, no third-party document sharing, configurable data retention, and a built-in PII scanner that flags compliance risks.
